Brand-new coffee shop/cafè opening soon in Lusaka. We’re passionate about serving the best coffee and offering a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We are excited to create a unique experience for our customers and are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Restaurant/Cafè Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant/Cafè Manager to lead our team and oversee all operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, as well as strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of the Cafè,  including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service and foster a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that every customer has a fantastic experience, handling inquiries and feedback with professionalism and care.
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability through effective management of resources.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant/Cafe Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Formal qualification in Hospitality and or Business Management would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Passion for coffee and customer service
  • Experience with financial planning and budget management
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
